Metrocide / Pedestrian Deposit
23CD0112
CDR | $8
SOLD OUT
|
| Split release with
Monorail Trespassing. One
remix of source material from each, and one solo track; the PD track being an
example of 'urban-noir electronics' while his remix of Metrocide attempts to
turn down the noise, allowing for one quick blast, then dwelling in the teeth
grinding murk while shaping narrative flow and loops out of the Metrocrap. The
Metrocide track is slow mounting, seething harshness and the Metrocide remix of
PD is chopped-to-death audio cruelty. |

23CD0106 PitchShifter Vol. 2
3" CDR | $6
SOLD OUT
|
| The second PitchShifter installation is an
entirely different approach to the high pitched explorations of these pieces.
Vol 2 is much more minimal in its execution. The feedback just barely
stirs and quivers, changing slowly throughout the entire piece, unlike the
dynamic, faster moving pieces on Vol 1. This work is very extreme
compared to it's predecessor, in the frequencies used. Unfortunately the
listener is nearly guaranteed a headache, however it is a unique and
intoxicating sound world to inhabit for the 19 min or so that it exists.

Metrocide plays Mansfield
DeathTrap Rerecordings 23CD22
CDR | $8
SOLD OUT
|
| Mansfield Deathtrap Rerecordings is a one man
record label from Madison. He specializes in recording other local artists'
performances and albums, then rerecording, remixing, transmuting, and packaging
them most elaborately. Mansfield also does his own intense sound collage, two
performances of which were captured at Glitch. These performances were
engineered by Clay Ruby, then rerecorded once by Mansfield. Then they were
remixed by Metrocide into the first two cut and paste nightmares on this disc.
The remaining nine tracks are Mansfield rerecording unreleased Metrocide
material, which renders Metrocide a mess of spastic alien chatter and broken
electronics. |

Metrocide / Analog Weapon 23CD21
CDR | $8 | 6 tracks
SOLD OUT |
| Debut appearance by Analog Weapon (harsh noise,
home made bent electronics project of Nic from Organon and Retroactive
Interference). Each artist does one long track, one short track, and
collaborates with the other artist for two tracks. This stuff is insane harsh
noise, some of the best stuff yet from Metrocide. Analog Weapon is new to the
scene, but no stranger to manipulating signal and making it harsh and fast.
Their collaborations consist of one track that rolls on joyous noise in the
sprit of free jazz, sputtering, spastic, and unrelenting. The other track
invokes the blast beat to use as a source material while inviting the Lung
(Madison local deviant and daredevil vocalist) to add to the chaos, yet you can
barely make out either as they are both squashed with Metrocide and Analog
Weapon's noise devastation. |

Metrocide Hates Kathleen
CDR | $8 |
3 tracks, 47 min
SOLD OUT
|
| This muddle occurred after Metrocide experienced
frustration listening to a 2000 cassette release by the scum slop quintet know
as Kathleen. Metrocide felt the fidelity was too low, even for these fuckers, so
he plugged the cassette into some effects pedals and turned it up a bit. The
result is what you hear here. Total blistering scum madness! The first 23 copies
of this release come in a nice, thick cardboard packaging, handmade by Spit from
Kathleen. |

23CD05
CDR in jewelcase | $8 |
2 tracks, 60 min
SOLD OUT |
| Metrocide is the harsh side project of Clay
(Organon, Incunabula). The first track is two layers of manipulations of
silence, one from an inactive output on a tape machine. The other layer is
silence from a blank tape. The second track is two layers of field recordings
made by Clay on cassette tape. All sounds are fed through various series of
analog gain staging and effects, resulting in dynamic harsh
noise. |
