This collection of artists from the Madison
Underground covers a lot of musical territory. From the avant/free improv of
Brennan Connors, Justin May, Clay Ruby, Organon, Crenshaw Melon and Retroactive
Interference, through the noisy, no-fi sounds of Metrocide, Endless,
Craig Microcassette System, and Mansfield Deathtrap ReRecordings, to the sound
scapes and clicking minimalism of Incunabula, Postage, The Rachel Papers and
Ani<<mini>>mal, and ending with the electro-manipulations of the
Killing Kind, Digital Harmony, and Ctrl+Alt+Del. Many tracks are live or
unreleased recordings. This is the first compilation to focus on the
experimental and extreme music underground of Madison, exposing the diversity
and talent of many before unheard artists.
